Abstract Guidelines

The 7th EU-Korea Conference on Science and Technology (EKC2014) will be held on 23-26 July 2014 in Vienna, Austria. EKC2014 aims at providing a high level international forum between Europe and Korea by discussing recent advances in diverse areas of science and technology.

EKC2014 consists of poster sessions, oral presentation sessions and networking events. The poster session which covers all scientific areas will provide presenters with an opportunity to share their research ideas and interests with all delegates. The oral presentations host diverse topics in basic and applied sciences, particularly focusing on interdisciplinary topics or focal issues of these days. EKC2014 also provides opportunities to have broad networking among public and private organisations as well as the scientists and engineers in Europe and Korea. Please refer to the programme on the EKC2014 webpage for further detail information.

Traditionally EKC calls for abstracts for poster presentation only. Authors who would like to contribute to the poster session should submit abstracts through the EKC2014 webpage. Some authors who submitted abstracts may be requested to present in the oral presentation sessions by the Programme Committee. The official language of the EKC2014 is English and abstracts should be written in English with 300-500 words.

Poster Preparation Guidelines

At this stage each poster will be displayed for 1 day (24th, July; Welcome Banquet at MENSA) during the conference. Each poster is assigned a specific board identified by paper id as specified in the guide. Check with the volunteers or the registration desk if you cannot find your poster board. Authors are requested to ensure that the posters are displayed from 9am to 10pm but should be removed by the end of the networking bar. Those not removed by this time will be disposed of by the event coordinators.

Poster Sessions: Authors are requested to be available for questions of your poster during the scheduled poster sessions. Please check you poster position in the program closer to the conference.

Poster Guidelines for Presenters: A freestanding compatible posterboard (2,43 meter height x 0,97 meter width) will be provided for your poster. Your poster should not exceed the size of a standard A0 (84.1cm x 118.9cm) in portrait layout.

In order to efficiently communicate the results of your research to the viewers, you are kindly requested to devote considerable effort in the design of your poster. Providing A4 takeaway versions of your poster is also encouraged.
