The EU-Korea Conference on Science and Technology (EKC) brings together engineers and scientists from nine European countries as well as Korea to discuss recent progress and future trends in Science and Technology. EKC 2014 will be held in Vienna, Austria from 23th to 25th July, 2014, hosted by Korean Scientists and Engineers Association in Austria (KoSEAA). EKC 2014 will be the 7th conference in a series that started in Heidelberg (Germany) 2008 which has been co-organized by the Korean Scientists and Engineers Association in Germany (VeKNI), in UK (KSEAUK), in France (ASCoF) and in Austria (KOSEAA). EKC 2014 follows the successful tradition of the previous meetings in Heidelberg (Germany) 2008, in Reading (UK) 2009, in Vienna (Austria) 2010, in Paris (France) 2011, in Berlin (Germany) 2012 and last year in Brighton (UK). On average, the EKC has attracted 500 – 600 participants annually. Over 3,000 Korean Members are widely distributed over 9 nations in Europe. EKC 2014 will set out to provide a place for the discussion on various issues about science and technology. It will offer a unique opportunity for networking between scientists/engineers in Europe and Korea. EKC 2014 will contribute to promoting bilateral exchange between governments, institutes, universities and industries in Europe and Korea. It will also set out to encourage mutual understandings between Korea and Europe and to cultivate friendship between the Korean scientists and engineers in Europe and Korea for the future.
